A Grandfather shirt or Granddad shirt, is a long sleeve cotton or cotton flannel collarless shirt, but can also be made of Irish Linen. The linen variety is also known as a ”Sunday Shirt”. Sunday Shirts with black trousers or Irish tweed pants are often worn to mass, christeming, funerals and weddings. It is worn throughout Ireland.
